The SelfEco Philosophy

Self-esteem for Ecological Integrity
A human-centered response to the Triple Planetary Crisis — climate change, biodiversity loss, and pollution.
“We are more than consumers. We are custodians of life. Every act of care restores balance — within us, and around us.”

The Meaning of SelfEco

SelfEco fuses two powerful dimensions of human motivation: self-worth and earth-worth. It reminds us that real confidence comes from acting consciously — from living in a way that honors life.

To live SelfEco is to live with awareness, dignity, and care — for oneself, for others, and for the planet we share. Ecological integrity is the new foundation of human integrity.

Why SelfEco Exists — The Triple Planetary Crisis

🌡 Climate Change 🐝 Biodiversity Loss 🧴 Pollution & Waste

The crises are interlinked. Food waste alone generates significant greenhouse gases, consumes vast water and land, and accelerates ecological decline. SelfEco transforms these crises into daily opportunities for action — turning waste into nourishment, anxiety into agency.

“Modern culture measures success by what we own. SelfEco measures meaning by what we save.”

Each rescued meal is a small victory. Multiplied across communities, it becomes culture — a living practice of regeneration.

A Culture of Everyday Heroes

SelfEco is not a marketplace; it is a social ecosystem. We create rituals of regeneration — moments in the day when people act together, joyfully, for the common good.

From Individual Acts to Systemic Change

SelfEco makes sustainable behavior socially contagious. Through thoughtful design, storytelling, and gentle gamification, we help people see, measure, and share their impact: kilograms rescued, CO₂ avoided, water preserved.

The more we act for the planet, the better we feel about ourselves. The better we feel about ourselves, the more we act for the planet.

Each action is visualized in a Forest of Impact, where leaves and trees grow with every rescue — pride made visible.

Closing Manifesto

SelfEco is a declaration that the era of guilt-driven sustainability is over. The future belongs to those who act with confidence, compassion, and creativity.

When we live SelfEco, we don’t just save food — we save meaning in a world rediscovering its ecological soul.

About the Founder

Dr. Nophea Sasaki is the Founder of SelfEco and a Professor of ESG and Sustainability at the Sasin School of Management, Chulalongkorn University, Bangkok. He is an internationally recognized expert in climate policy, carbon markets, biodiversity finance, and sustainable innovation — bridging AI, IoT, blockchain, and data ecosystems with measurable environmental impact.

Dr. Sasaki introduced the SelfEco Philosophy as a human-centered response to the Triple Planetary Crisis — believing that technology alone cannot heal the planet without the participation of confident, compassionate people. Through SelfEco, he envisions a socially connected world where everyday actions — like rescuing food, reducing waste, and sharing resources — become expressions of self-worth and ecological pride.

“SelfEco is a movement to restore the human spirit in sustainability. When people act with self-worth, the planet heals with dignity.” — Dr. Nophea Sasaki
